Two employees with the San Antonio Independent School District’s Transportation Department both jumped into action on a cold morning, saving a toddler’s life.

Heather Ruiz’s students at Rudder Middle school told KSAT crews that they were not surprised that their teacher won because she is so deserving of this honor and recognition.

Charles Lee is not only the head boys basketball coach and physical education teacher at Legacy Traditional Schools, he is also the athletic director there and he is KSAT’s Educator of the Month.
