Heat index to top 100 degrees in San Antonio Wednesday and Thursday

As if the humidity wasn’t already bad, now temperatures are cranking up. The combination of the two will result in some serious heat index values next few days.

For perspective, San Antonio’s average temperatures for this time of year is around 84 degrees. High temperatures will reach the low to mid-90s Wednesday and Thursday.

  • Humidity levels have been running high and are forecast to stay elevated today and tomorrow in San Antonio
  • Humidity combined with hot temperatures will push heat index to near 100 degrees on Wednesday
  • The feels-like number may rise even higher on Thursday, with heat index values likely topping 100 degrees in many spots
  • The highest heat index values will occur for those southeast of San Antonio, where heat index values may rise above 105 degrees both Wednesday and Thursday.
  • Relief arrives late Thursday! A cold front will slide through late Thursday into early Friday. This will cool us down and lower humidity levels.
