Air Fryers sold at Best Buy recalled due to fire risk

More than 187,000 air fryers sold at Best Buy are recalled after 30 reports of overheating, melting, glass shattering or fire.

The recall is for certain models of Insignia air fryers and air fryer ovens.

The following model numbers are being recalled:

  • NS-AF34D2
  • NS-AF5DSS2
  • NS-AF5MSS2
  • NS-AF8DBD2
  • NS-AF10DBK2
  • NS-AF10DSS2

They were sold from November 2021 through November 2023, retailing for between $32 and $180.

If you have one, you are advised to contact the company Air Fryer for instructions. Best Buy is giving refunds, but customers are asked not to return the fryers to the store.
